Hummingbird
As I was leading the relaxation today, I felt a presence. I opened my eyes for an instant and there it was, almost next to me, in the flowers on my balcony, hovering a meter away, a hummingbird…
With its beautiful bright electric green colors, its wings flapping rapidly, it held itself in the air like an acrobat defying gravity, pecking flowers while I stood very still, living this encounter. I was simply present. A strong sensation of inhabiting a relaxed body invaded me, my senses were alert, I was watching with all my being this encounter, my breathing was very soft and slow, I felt the sun on my right arm and the sound of the city as a background scenery.
Suddenly the hummingbird stood in front of me, the two of us, face to face, we looked at each other, him floating in the air and me with a smile on my whole being. For an instant: mind, body and feeling were together peacefully in silence living this encounter.
From time to time it has returned to visit me on the 5th floor of a building in Bogota.
