Screening of the documentary “Seeker of Truth”, “The Influence of a Master”.

George Ivanovich Gurdjieff (1866-1949) argued that the knowledge of reality – what he called the true “knowledge of being” – came from a stream flowing from the most remote antiquity, passing from one age to another, from one people to another. He regarded that knowledge as the indispensable instrument for attaining freedom, inner liberation.

For those who seek to understand the meaning of human life in the universe, he said, the reason for this quest is to reach that stream, to find it. In this way there remains only “to know” in order to “be”. But to know, he taught, it is necessary to discover “how to know”.

After the projection, a forum of questions on the living teaching of G. I. Gurdjieff will be proposed.
