I. Gurdjieff and his teachings.\n\n\n\n\nGeorge Ivanovich Gurdjieff (1866-1949) argued that the knowledge of reality – what he called the true “knowledge of being” – came from a stream flowing from the most remote antiquity\, passing from one age to another\, from one people to another. He regarded that knowledge as the indispensable instrument for attaining freedom\, inner liberation. \nFor those who seek to understand the meaning of human life in the universe\, he said\, the reason for this quest is to reach that stream\, to find it. In this way there remains only “to know” in order to “be”.
